Ashlyn turned 1!!!!!

My little girl is 1!!!!

Our morning ritual. Yesterday morning was her birthday walk :)

Her very first birthday cake with lots of extra icing for her to make a mess of.

She wasn't so sure about the cake at first.

Then she realized mommy wasn't going to stop her from making a mess.

She tried a little of the buttercream. Didn't like it to much.

Gift time was next. She was more interested in the tissue paper.

There was a little puddle that she found as I was putting a letter in the mailbox. I turned around, and splish splash.

 Her onsie was soaked and her diaper was so gross.

 So it was time for a real bath!

Peek-a-boo!

She loves being just like mommy and loves to carry mom's purse. But I have to leave everything in it. If I take anything out, she'll drop it, sit down and pout.

 This is how much she loves chocolate ice cream. She kept going for my cone.

She wasn't to interested in looking at the camera.

She got more used to it, the more she liked it.

Poor girl is the same color as the sand but she still had such a good time!!

She ate her first handful of sand that day. Didn't like it much.

In Hawaii!!

Waiting in Seattle for our Hawaii-bound plane! She did pretty good flying. Exhausting as she was, it was fun.

She was pretty happy the entire flight. It was 5 hours long and she took 2 1hr naps so it wasn't so bad.

First trip to the beach! We went to Kahaluu. Magic was too crowded.  She got her first taste of ocean water and did NOT like it at all.

She was clinging to my fingers as tight as she could. She couldn't figure out what this stuff was under her feet but it was so amazing to just watch her take it all in.  It just made my heart overflow with joy.

She was getting a bit cranky because I wouldn't let her play on the lava.

When a good size swell would come and cover her halfway, she would squeal and kick her feet.

'Dude this is AWESOME!'

4th of July!

We had such a fun 4th! My sister came up from Provo to help with last minute things and then planned on flying out with us to Hawaii.  Grandma got the girls matching dresses and it was so cute! Ashlyn kept pulling her headband off.

She just HAD to walk around. She does not sit still now. She can walk on her own and has been able to for about a week!!

It was pretty windy and kinda rainy but we had a good time anyway.

Last days in Idaho

We had a really nice going away party for Enoch the thursday before he left to boot camp.  It was so fun to have everyone there!We are really missing Daddy! Ashlyn would crawl around looking for him everywhere.
