We're back! And we have an annoucement!

Ok so wow! I finally got my password changed. Someone hacked into my account and changed my password for fun. And it was my old work email so it took a bit to track down the lovely "forgot password" thing. Anyway...here's a run down!

December
Enoch flew to Hawaii from Ft. Bragg for his 2 week leave and it was AMAZING!

Some wonderful friends from my ward took us out on day to go deep sea fishing on their boat and WOW! It was an awesome day! Enoch caught a shark, a spearfish, we caught 2 mahi mahi and some fun bait fish. It was a busy day and so much fun!!!
Then he went back to Ft. Bragg :( We were all very upset. We miss him like crazy but I can talk to him everyday. Hopefully in 2 months we'll be out there as a family again!

January

So, Jan 5th I found out I was pregnant with baby #2! I was barely 4 weeks when I took a test. I was almost instantly sick though. So I'm hoping that means it's a boy! Today I'm 9 weeks and I'm hardly sick anymore. With Ashlyn, I was just getting started with the puking right now and was sick until I was 19 weeks. Enoch left a Christmas present behind :) I'm due Sept 10th!
February

We have paid a little visit to Idaho and we're having a blast!

Ashlyn is so not used to this weather! Snow, ice, below 0. She isn't used to wearing all these clothes. In Hawaii, she was always in just her diaper or swimsuit. Now she's like a turtle on it's back when she falls over in her coat, mittens and boots.

Ashlyn is a growing girl!

Ashlyn has grown up so much! She loved spaghetti sauce the first time she had it. She would suck it off the pasta and spit the pasta back out. Then remembered she liked wheat pasta too!

She loved my new luggage and wanted to come with me to Georgia!
My birthday dinner was the best! Ashlyn gave lots of smiles which was the best present ever!
This is Auntie Raquel's gift to Ashlyn for her birthday! She loves it! She puts everything in there from her bunny to her blanket, shoes, bottles, books!
Auntie Raquel's other present! She's still trying to figure out how to use it. It doesn't work the way she thinks it should.

OSUT graduation!

Ok so I totally suck at keeping our blog updated....so....here's what's been going on!

Since the family pass, I was just counting down the days until I saw him again at OSUT graduation and it was so much fun! I loved being able to have it be just him and me but I missed my Ashlyn and I wish Enoch could've spent time with her. But since I was going it alone and my first flight left at 11pm, there was no way I could do it with her.

On Oct 7th, Enoch had his Turning Blue Ceremony. What it is is a blue infantry cord is buttoned onto their Greens, a sign that they are in the brotherhood of the infantry. It's pretty cool!

Oct 8th is when he had his graduation ceremony at the National Infantry Museum. On the field, there is soil from almost every major battle! It's a very humbling experience. The museum is amazing. Somehow they got a tank in there...word is they built the museum around the tank. And they managed to throw in a helicopter or 2...no biggie.

Ft. Benning Family Pass !

It was so awesome to go see Enoch at Ft. Benning! Although the flight was a nightmare there...overnight, 1 year old DOES NOT work. There was lots of rocking in the back of the plane. And she's pushing 23 lbs...my arms, shoulders and back look like I spend a lot of time at the gym everyday. Who needs a gym when you have a toddler? The trip was 9300 miles there and back.  My mom came with me just to help out. If she hadn't, I seriously wouldn't have made it. In Atlanta of all places, we had to go down these crazy stairs to get to the tarmac just to walk up more stairs to get into the plane. We had the stroller and carseat with us.  My mom took the bags down to the tarmac and I was at the top of the stairs with the stroller, car seat, diaper bag, my monster purse and Ashlyn in my arms. There was a guy behind me who just stood there as I tried to haul it all down this flight of stairs then had the guts to roll his eyes at me and sigh....I felt curse words on my lips but held it in.  At this point it was 10 am thursday Hawaii time and I had been up since 5am Wednesday....I didn't sleep one wink on the flight over...So I was at my wits end. Ashlyn of course was very tired. She had slept a combined total of 5 hours since we left Hawaii at 8pm on Wednesday night. When I got to the landing the guy had been just slowly following me so I just glare at him and very audibly and flatly say, Thank you sir. So much for southern hospitality.  We finally got to the hotel, which was very nice, at about 6pm and when we checked in, we were told there wasn't a crib available for us. When I kindly reminded the clerk that we reserved one online, we were told it's first come, first served and they only had 2 for the whole hotel...all 4 floors. My mom and I were shocked...so we had to go buy a pack-n-play. Finally we get settled and of course Ashlyn won't sleep. She is just frayed. We had been up 36 hours at this point and just could not function. Ashlyn had had 45 min naps here and there the entire time and was just beyond functioning. When it turned 11pm in Georgia, my mom finally said, just go to sleep. We had to be at the gates at 7am. Friday morning was a happy morning. I was so so excited. All the exhaustion was overwhelmed with anticipation.

Here are pictures from our amazing weekend as a family again. We got from 10am Friday morning until 4pm Sunday afternoon to do whatever we pleased.

It was so hard to say goodbye! But in 3 weeks I'll be back again for Enoch's Graduation!! Ashlyn will be staying with Grandma in Hawaii this time. There is no way I'm going to put her through that trip again. It was just too hard on her. Now she has a double ear infection and hasn't slept solid since we got back over a week ago.
