I'm so pretty in my Sunday best

This past Sunday at church, we had to sit out in the hall the whole time since someone was being very rambunctious and talkative.  She found mommy's lotion and loved the shiny cap on the bottle.

These pictures aren't very exciting but they do a good job of showing off how springy she is in her daisy dress.

She is always posing for the camera! I can't believe she's already older than 8 mos.  She can pull herself up onto anything.  Her favorite is the couch because she can get a good grip on the slip cover.

She is just always all smiles.  This picture just lights up my day.  Those rosy cheeks are just chewable.

She and Franchesca were not amused with us trying to get them to smile.

Auntie Kenna is in town!

This weekend my sister came up for a little visit and it was so fun! We spent the day shopping and just having a blast. Ashlyn was not cooperating at all for the pictures but it was still fun! Ashlyn has this thing with mouths. If she trusts you, you get her hands in your mouth. It's a thing she only really does with mommy and daddy and today Kenna found out what it was like to always have little fingers trying to pull out your teeth.

Daddy's New Toy

So...Enoch traded in his Sportster for something new...He finally got his dream bike, before his midlife crisis. I have to say I am the best wife out there.  He's been kind of trying to keep it a secret just because he knew he would get crap for it.  He better enjoy the next 2 1/2 months of it...I would love to ride while he was in BCT but let's be honest, full time job and full time mom....there isn't even going to be time to go grocery shopping let alone ride a Harley.

Ash is into everything!

Ashlyn is into everything today.  I cannot keep her sitting still. The Wii remotes get yanked out. Then it's onto the Xbox.

She will pull all the xbox remotes out and then just keep on her path of destruction. It doesn't matter once they are on the floor. She could care less. Just as long as everything is all over.

This used to be a magazine...now it's just a bunch of pages torn out and scattered on the floor

And this was left in her wake.  She left Ducky and moved onto terrorizing my purse.  She loves how the leather feels on her gums and teeth.

Smiles and Giggles

She was just so smiley and awake when I put her down for her nap.  30 seconds before this picture she was crying and rubbing her eyes. She loves the camera.  It's hard to get her crying in a picture.  She loves being the center of attention.  Makes us wonder how she'll be with a little brother or sister. 

She put herself to sleep chewing on her foot, which we thought was hilarious.  I guess that works. She won't take a pacifier anymore. She has to have her blanket now. She loves sucking on the fleece and the trim.  She's about over her bout of separation anxiety.  She is quite content playing by herself until she gets tired. Then she just has to have all sorts of cuddles.  She'll follow you around and whine and put out her arms until you pick her up.  Then she'll lay her head on your shoulder for  a little bit.

 She was so tired yesterday. We went to Gringo's to see Daddy and she just laid her head on the table.  She didn't fuss at all, which is a first.  And I've never seen her just lay her head down.  It was so cute.

She is obsessed with faces! She will pretty much try to pull your eye ball out if you're not careful.  She loves putting her toys in your mouth. It's her way of sharing.

She plays hide and seek with Enoch's hat. She just loves it.  He'll put them on her head and say, "Where's Ashlyn!"  She'll start squealing and pull the hat off her head.

Too long!!!

Sorry it's been so long since we've posted anything! Between our jobs and this little munckin, we've been busy. She needs to be occupied all the time now. Especially while driving. She loves to crank her head around and look at you.  She's getting separation anxiety pretty bad now.  I've been doing a lot of baby carrying but it really help with her sleeping at night.  I'll get home, put her in the moby wrap and she'll help me do my household chores.  It's hard to keep her little hands out of everything.

She is just moving all over now! She's trying to figure out cross crawling and it's just so funny. She'll start doing yoga instead.  Her fave is the plank.

She is just putting everything in her mouth.  The bouncer is her favorite at Grandma and Grandpa Bowlers.  She'll just spin and spin herself all around.

Ash is almost 7 months old and she loves her Army Daddy!

Heres some pictures of Ashlyn! She's getting so big we are just blown away! She's going to be 7 months old next week.  She still isn't a big fan of fruit but she loves her oatmeal! She has to take lots of icky medicine right now.  I took her to the Pediatrician on Thursday. She's had a cold for about 2 weeks.  But Wed night she started wheezing and it was getting worse on Thursday.  So she was diagnosed with RSV but she doesn't have to be on a nebulizer thankfully. The doctor said I brought her in early enough that she should respond to Amoxicillian and Prednisolone taken orally.  Her wheezing is gone but she hates taking it. I mean, really, when doctors tell you to give medicine orally to a baby, how much are they really getting in them? Because it seems like 3/4 of it comes right out.

Her other favorite toy is her spoon. She could just chew on that all day long.

She got into this habit of spiting her oatmeal all over me lately.  Not fond of that....neither is Enoch. 

And she loves her feet! She's always playing with them in the store or in her carseat or eating them when I'm trying to get her ready for bed.

She loves her blocks! They entertain her for a solid 30 min, that's a long time for her. She's learning so fast it's crazy. And of course she gets into everything.  If it's within her reach, she goes for it.  Peoples faces, hair, jewelry, purses, jackets, bra straps, phones, keyboards (which is what she's trying to eat right now) the camera when you're trying to take a picture.  But it's so fun to watch her explore her world and learn so many new things.

Another big milestone, she's trying to crawl! She can her up on her hands and knees but that's as far as she gets. She ususally moves herself backwards in an attempt to move forward. It took her all of probably 30 min to figure out how to get up on her hands and knees last week. Straightening her legs and arms wasn't helping her get anywhere, so she pushed back on her arms and bent her knees and TA-DA!

We've moved!!

This past Thursday we packed up the house in Rigby and moved back to Rexburg!!!. I'm so excited to be back.  And we have internet!!!! No more giong 3 weeks between posts! Once we get settled in more I'll post pictures of Ashlyn's new digs. She loves her new home. She's settled right in.

Ashlyn is 6 months old!!!

She's 6 months old and loving life! That adorable dress she has on was made by my friend Darci. Check out her blog londylouboutique.blogspot.com. She makes the cutests dresses and bows! Ash helped us celebrate Valentines Day a day early. Daddy got mommy very pretty flowers and a diamond double heart pendant!!! Mommy is so so lucky!!

She pulled the cutest face when I was trying to take a picture for Darci. She loves to suck on her bottom lip. I think it's because she likes how her teeth feel or something, but she's always doing it. Whatever keeps her occupied!
