1 Year Anniversary

Today is our 1 year anniversary. I woke up this morning to find these. 1 rose for every month and in my favorite color, PINK!! And lots of chocolate. I love him!!!!!! As you can see, I tore that box apart...And I also just noticed that since I started this post the night before, it says Sept 27..that's not right.. Our anniversary is the 28th..

We can't believe how fast it went by. It seems like just a few months ago we got married. Not too much has happened in the last year. Except we added a few to our collection of guns, I've replaced my entire wardrobe and Enoch's too, Enoch fixed up his little dirt bike, took a much needed trip back home to Hawaii, have been to Salt Lake a few times, had a fun weekend getaway, gone on a few random motorcycle trips, gone to some weddings. So it's not too eventful but it's been lots of fun. Every time I got in the freezer to get something out, I'd see the top of our cake in there and would glance at the calendar and suddenly, it's September 28th. Wonder how it's going to taste...I went through almost an entire roll of plastic wrap because I didn't want it to be all funky tasting and freezer burned. We'll see how it comes out tomorrow since it's thawing in the fridge. So happy 1 year to us!!!! We have made some amazing memories and goofed off like little kids but have loved every minute of it. Here is an ode to our first year as husband and wife.

Where it all began...

I was looking through pictures and came across pictures of the beginning days. So many memories and feelings popped up. We had such good times. It's wonderful how much our love has progressed and grown. It started out as puppy love and grew into eternal love.
This was in the very very beginning. If I remember right, it was late August. Look at my hair (eeek) and that skinny boy. He was sort of newly off his mission and now that I think about the first girl a guy dates when he gets home from his mission is the girl he usually ends up marrying. And that truck, as sexy as it might be, smelled like absolute crap.
Fun times bowling. Enoch didn't have an excuse for having off days. He is a Bowler. hahaha...lame joke, overused. I, on the other hand, just plain suck....
We were at his mission buddies wedding and it made me want to get married the next weekend. I think he looks like a mischievous little boy in this picture.

This is Enoch's favorite picture besides our wedding pictures. We went on a motorcycle trip to Mesa Falls and it became one of our favorite "US" spots.
When we both think back on when we first started dating in September 04, we would've never guessed we'd be here now. I remember the first time Enoch said he loved me. Well, he wrote that he loved me because he was too embarassed to say it out loud. I woke up on my birthday Oct 14 and didn't even notice the shiny new acoustic guitar sitting in the corner. But I did notice all the signs my awesome roommates had plastered all over the place. Enoch was out in the living room ( stupid chastity line) waiting for me and when I didn't say anything, he looked hurt at first and then confused. When everyone said go back in there and look, I was the one who was confused. But there was my pretty new guitar with a bottle of Lucky perfume and a little handwritten note. I opened up the note and it read "Dear Manda, Happy Birthday girl. I'm not good at saying this in person but I really do love you. So, yeah, I love you. I'm so "Lucky" to have you. " It was so cute. And I've saved every cute little I Love You note since then. So many memories you wish you had a video camera for.
We can't wait to keep our journey going and making more memories and having a blast with each other.

Picture of the Week

BWACK!!!!
Thanks Diana for this awesome picture!

New toy

Enoch's first outting with his summer project. No broken bones, no broken handlebars...all is going well. He went with his friend Scott to Bald Butte to goof around and do some hill climbing. I, of course, had to work. But one of these days I'll go out there. Last time I was riding around on anything with 2 wheels or 4 wheels and knobbies I kinda ended up with it on top of me and I was on my back...didn't go so well I'd say...I guess our kids are in major trouble. Enoch and I just try everything when we try something new. Snowboarding (Enoch dislocated his shoulder with a 360 trick) 4wheelers ( aforementioned accident) Since kids are just like their parents, we will be spending every weekend in the ER....But for now, I'll take care of this big kid -----

Our parking lot will have to suffice for fun since this thing ain't street legal...oh well. Coppers stay away. Don't rain on our parade.

College bound

Well it finally happened...my little sis started BYU. Last weekend I met up with my family in Salt Lake to see my little sister off and help her get settled in. I can't believe she's a college girl. She's already called me a few times with "oh my gosh what do I do?" My only rule is I have to screen her dates...no losers for her. And my parents are officially empty nesters...they really don't like all that much. I wanted Enoch to come really bad but he had to work :( I wanted him to be able to talk to my extended family more. He did a little at our wedding much not too much. There were too many people there to talk to.

That's my cousin Laura, Steph, me, then my mom and my sis, looking all goofy. She doesn't like have her picture taken all that much.

Friday night my dad's brothers and their families met up with us at Maddox for a family tradition. Every time someone is in town in SLC, we get together and eat there. So so good. The raspberry butter is the best. I've tried to copy it but it didn't taste the same. It was also pretty significant because the last time our family had gathered like that was for our wedding and before that, it was probably 8 years. My dad's mom was always the one to organize family reunions and getogethers and last Friday was the 12th anniversary of her passing away so we all had a little moment for her. She was probably very happy that we all got together.

My sister had to get an apt with girls that were juniors and seniors so she's going to be the odd one out for a bit but I had so much fun in college so I know she'll be just fine. She's going to try to get a job at Gold's Gym since she's addicted to working out. But I think she'll get a job just fine. She's going into communications, for now. My guess is she'll be a personal trainer. She loves the gym.

Saturday fun

It was another fun Saturday. We got another toy...a MAK-90, same thing as an AK-47. It had a wooden stock with a thumbhole grip but it was ugly haha. So we got the army camo stock with the pistol grip instead. I guess 5 guns isn't enough. He wants 5 more. haha wow I'm definately an Idahoan. Enoch had a big jumpstart on me. It just felt good to be out in the sun, hence our sleeveless-ness. And I got stung by something...plant, bug, not sure but it hurt. I wanted to shoot my ankle. It's still all red and swollen. Maybe I'll still shoot it anyway. Well we found out my good friend Stephanie is pregnant. CONGRATS STEPH & JON!!!!!! Now Enoch and I are really behind. My friend Kassie had her baby boy Kaden. CONGRATS TO KASSIE AND SHAD TOO!!!! Enoch and I are really baby hungry now. So far...no luck. We haven't even been married a year yet so we've got time.

Congratulations Joseph and Andrea!

On Saturday, Enoch's little brother Joseph got married. It was so amazing to see them glowing knowing they'd be together for all eternity. Andrea looks so pretty and just beamed. It was such a happy day for the whole family. Everything went smoothly and I'm so suprised Andrea didn't freak out when the intern at the florist put the wedding date in as AUGUST 26 instead of July...I don't know how you mess that up....So everyone went to the neighbors house and asked to pick their orange lillies. The colors were orange and white and it looked so nice and summery. Mom-in-law Merri Ann made the wedding cake and did such a good job. She made Stephanie's too and made a little one for Enoch and I. We think she should get a business going. Well, that's 3 kids down within 10 months. Daddy Bowler is pretty happy.

They are going on their honeymoon to Mexico, I think down in the Baja region. Joseph went on his mission to Honduras so he won't have a problem with language. We let them borrow our car to go drive to Salt Lake monday for the open house and then off they go. We wished we could go tomorrow but we don't have any vacation time left.

While we waited for Joseph and Andrea to come out, we got to play with our little cousins. This is little Joshua. He was totally in love with Enoch. It made us so baby hungry.

He kept spitting his binky so his mom had to hold it in his mouth. But he was so so cute. I want a baby so so bad! I think Enoch and I would look good with a baby of our own in our arms.

My new horse, maybe

So this is Duke, the horse I really want to buy. It's pretty much a done deal until I talk to Enoch about it haha. But he and I are buddies now. Dan and his daughter were really suprised when I rode him. Dan was pretty much beside himself when he saw how good Duke handled with me. Duke hasn't been riden in a very long time and when that happens, horses tend to go green and get onry. He was an angel with me. He tried little things now and then to see if I was paying attention and when he knew he couldn't get away. It was so much fun and so good to get out and ride again. Hopefully I can make this an almost everyday thing. I miss my old horse so much. Duke is so much like him. So if Enoch and I can work out money, I can buy him.

Saturday fun

When us Idahoans are bored, we shoot things and watch people destroy things. I've turned into a hick! Not really, but there isn't much to do around here. But shooting cantelope and watching a demolition derby can still be fun. I went to the derby with my mother-in -law and Enoch's little brother. His dad organized the whole thing and everything went without a hitch. It was so funny how into it some people got. Good times.

Enoch and I went shooting today too. We love spending time together no matter what we're doing. The first time I shot the pistol I hit the cantelope. Enoch was so proud of me. It made me feel really good. Isn't my baby hot?! mmmmmmm he looks SO good. It was a perfect day outside. Sun, no wind, no clouds. Just my husband and me relaxing and having fun with each other.

Happy 4th

This 4th of July wasn't all that crazy but we still got to see fireworks. There's not much to our holiday other than riding the Harley down and being able to zip through traffic and honking cars on the way home. Hey, because we can...It took everyone else probably 2 or more hours to get home. It took us all of 35 mintues, the normal time it takes to get from the Temple back to our house. The fireworks were pretty, like always. We got some pizza and sat and waited, not for too long thought. We got there fairly late and didn't have to wait long. We got a good parking spot too, thanks to the motorcycle again. We looove having it.

These are some of the fun fireworks.
